Booking a yoni massage can be a very big step - not one to be taken lightly. You might have read about the benefits, or perhaps been recommended by a friend. It may be the right thing for you, it maybe of great benefit, but it is not something you should choose to do.
In the extra chapters of 'The Art of Receiving and Giving' Dr Betty Martin shares some guidance for receiving yoni massage, included below with her kind permission. As the 'server' in this dynamic I value her suggestions, and recommend bringing this awareness to receiving yoni massage.
"Genital touch carries expectations.
A common one is that with stimulation you are supposed to then be ready to have something inside you. Why?
A few things you might want to experiment with:
The vulva.
Stay on the outside until you have had enough, plenty, all you want. Never rush to get to the inside.
The vagina.
What comes out of the mouth of the Server:
“Would you like me to enter?”
What the Accepter may hear:
“Don’t you think it’s about time I entered?” Or
“I’ve been doing this long enough, and what is taking you so long?”
It’s not your job to follow the program and accept whatever they “give” you. Your job is to get no more than you want and no sooner than you want it. If you would like an entire hour of nothing but holding, then go for it. This is for you. The goal is not to see how soon you can tolerate something inside. The idea is to slow down, experiment, and find what feels heavenly. (My italics)
The fallacy of the G-spot.
The G-spot is an area inside the vagina that is particularly sensitive. The fallacy of the G-spot is that if it’s tender or you feel resistance, you should “push through it.” Never, ever make yourself push through your resistance! Any place in the body with enough nerve endings is going to be extremely sensitive to fear, shame, doubt, or bad past experiences. The G-spot may be numb, painful, or blissful. What to do instead of pushing through? When you come across a spot (any spot) that feels good, stay there until you are no longer interested in it. When you come across a spot that feels edgy or tender, back off until it does feel good, and stay there, where it feels good, until it no longer interests you."
I'll be happy to arrange a time to talk if you'd like to connect and ask questions on a voice or video call.
